        An asymmetrical electrical field called the Biefeld-Brown effect. This effect takes its name from its discoverer, American Electro-physicist Thomas Townsend Brown, who discovered the effect of motion in one direction seemingly caused by high Voltage used to drive an early Crookes X-Ray tube around 1927. In 1928, he wrote a paper "How I Control Gravitation", hat appeared in publisher Hugo Gernsback's ELECTRICAL EXPERIMENTER pulp magazine.
     A professor of Brown's at Denison University, Dr. Paul Alfred Biefeld (who was also a contemporary of Albert Einstein, and "zur Einheitlichten Feldtherie" -the Unified Field Theory for Gravitation and Electricity had just been released in several Prussian science journals) suggested a patent be applied for, based on the paper and a lead-litharge device, and the rest is history.          At this point in our collective research worldwide, I don't think this is a question that anyone can truthfully answer. Many theories exist. Electrodynamics, electrohydrodynamics, electrostatics, electrogravitics, all of these known forces and more need to be investigated with the Beamship and other Series electric spacecraft. Size is no limit, and I have published results in NEW ENERGY TECHNOLOGIES and INFINITE ENERGY magazines that show marked increase in energy efficiency with increasing diameter of the lift cell or "Engine", or Beamship "Wing".

            There are many methods of achieving Counterbary or "Antigravity". What we really mean by "antigravity" is either a repulsion from the center of the planet, or a thrust in one direction produced by a rotating (Laithwaite, Dean, Searl, Hamel) or static- no moving parts - (TT Brown, Kowsky and Frost, Hutchison, Shinichi Seiki)  that when directed away from the center of a planet, does the same thing. This would also include what we would call "Force Field" propulsion methodologies, which includes devices invented by some of the aforementioned researchers.

In our understanding, the elucidations surrounding electromagnetism as of A.D. 2002-'03 still elude science. The same could also be said for gravitation. For the purposes of facilitating electric space drives that do not require fuel to throw out the rear end via Newton's Third Law of Motion- (for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction), we shall consider gravitation to be a converging (descending) flux of Ether which was called the Lumineferous Ether prior to 1900. This we shall consider to be the interstitial medium of space-time from which all matter and energy are derived, and gives rise to inertial and gravitational effects. So gravitation in this model could be considered an electrically influenced rain from space like a fluid or ultra fine gas.

           If ongoing research with the Beamship and other series electric spacecraft reveal an interaction with Ether, I would then consider the device is using fields of electrically generated acceleration (gravity) that could be proof of a localized Warp in the fabric, or 4-D meshwork of space-time. A true force field propulsion system or antigravity, with no moving parts involved in propulsion, no requirement of heat energy to effect transportation, and no fuel, no reaction mass needed. This I would consider true "antigravity", but this is pure semantics and still, endlessly debatable.
 
 
 

           No. This technology goes back 100 years to inventions and power generation systems invented by the prolific and truly inspired electrical genius, American inventor Nikola Tesla, who made the Electrical 20th Century possible. He envisioned a cigar-shaped apparatus without moving parts that could be made very huge, powered externally by wireless electricity from his centralized Wardenclyffe (Tesla Magnifying Transmitter- a gargantuan Tesla Coil) Tower 180-feet tall, that was built to 80% completion before J.P. Morgan pulled the funding and the tower dynamited in 1917.

       Marconi, who "borrowed" Tesla's patents (the US Patent office confirmed this fact that Tesla was the true father of Radio in 1943, the year of Tesla's death), was rumored to have conducted antigravity experiments, and moved to South America to build flying saucers in the 1930s and 40s!
 

          Observation of clear daylight footage of UFOs that exists in the public domain reveal amazingly similar movements, the lack of moving parts, control surfaces, noise, exhaust, and sometimes colored glow and lightning like energy discharges from these full-size so-called UFOs are similar if not identical to Beamship flight performance. Electricity behaves the same in every part of the universe. Force field propulsion methodology allows for interplanetary and/or interstellar travel in reasonable time and economy, something that is an impossibility with reaction-mass (impulse) Newtonian rocket-drives. Nonrealistic trajectories and motion are benefits of force field propulsion systems. Cancellation of inertial mass (G-forces) are another important advantage of this methodology.
             Yes. Calculations show that High Voltage DC of less than 200 kV, at a pulsed on/off duty cycle of low frequency in an on-board power system weighing less than 400 grams including rechargeable batteries, can be a reality with the larger 5 and 6-footers, Beamships Variations III and V. A piezo-based miniature system with an air-core transformer is now being developed by a major electronics supplier specifically for this purpose. Applied Electrogravitics is currently developing a digital/proportional R/C on-board interface module for use with commercial/hobby radio/control transmitter/xceiver units.
              Unknown. But films and experiments reveal quite rapid upward acceleration and side-slips. Much more experimentation is needed.
